These designs show the dimensions as L (length) B (Breadth - we call width) and H (height).
Dimensions are given in the sequence of length, width and depth. The
dimensions of a corrugated box or corrugated packaging item are described based on the 'opening' of an assembled
box, which can be located on the top or the side, depending on how it is
to be filled. The opening of a box is a rectangle; that is, it has two sets of parallel sides. The longer of the two sides is its length, the shorter of the two sides is its width. The side
perpendicular to length and width is the depth. The measurements are usually taken internally, i.e. the measurements in 'mm' inside the
box.
To accurately measure a
corrugated box, we usually open it out flat, and measure between the creases that denote the edges of each of the panels. If you are unsure about this, take a look at our FEFCO design page links below and the appropriate required dimensions
